Job Description
The Director of Ambulatory Services provides strategic leadership and oversight for a multidisciplinary portfolio of outpatient programs, including Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine (across two locations), Sleep and EEG Services, the Lymphedema Center, and the Hearing and Balance Center (BMC Audiology). This role ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality clinical care and exceptional patient experiences while driving innovation, program growth, and operational excellence. The Director collaborates closely with medical directors and key stakeholders to align clinical and business objectives, foster employee engagement, and maintain regulatory compliance. A deep understanding of each specialty area is essential to effectively lead and support these diverse services.
Experience:
§Five years management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Education and Training:
Baccalaureate degree required
MBA preferred
Other Requirements:
Proven leadership skills demonstrating ability to motivate staff.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Analytical skills for evaluating and resolving issues.
Demonstrated ability to manage a large budget.
Ability to manage interests of diverse parties.
Ability to create and implement business plans for new programs and processes.
Demonstrated quality improvement focus including but not limited to routine measures, lean, six sigma
